What is the sick policy?
The sick policy is the same as the daycare guidelines. In general, use your own judgment as to whether your child is
up to participating in an activity or would be contagious to others. Please do not bring a child to an activity if he/she
has had a fever within the past 24 hours or is exhibiting any contagious symptoms. We all understand that a child
may seem fine at an activity and then later that evening comes down with an illness. As a general practice we tend to
contact the president if a child later comes down with something contagious such as chicken pox, stomach flu, etc.
The president will then contact those who may have been exposed as a courtesy.
Why do I need to RSVP?
Play groups or activities held at an individual’s home may ask for an RSVP in order to make provisions for all those
attending. If hosting an event at your home, all pets need to be confined to another area during the activity time.
This is to protect the animal and MOMS Club members. Many adults are allergic to pet dander and many young
children have fears towards animals or have not yet learned how to treat an animal.
The weather is icky. Does that mean an event is canceled?
In general, any outdoor MOMS Club event will be canceled if it is raining. When in question, please check your
email. MOMS Club tries to make a decision within an hour of the scheduled begin time as to whether to cancel or
not. An all member email will then be sent out. If you do not have email access, please request to be put on the
phone tree to be contacted of calendar changes.
Who do I contact if I meet someone who is interested in MOMS Club?
The President or the Membership VP would love to hear of moms you have met that are interested in our group. A
prospective new member letter, brochure, membership information and liability sheet, and a current newsletter will be
mailed to interested mothers. You can also refer them to this website
When do I need to renew my membership dues?
Your $20.00 dues are renewable annually. Your name will appear in the newsletter the month before your
membership needs to be renewed. You must also fill out a new information/liability form, available at any event from
the treasurer.
Can my child attend all MOMS Club activities?
Yes! Bring your children. Children may attend all MOMS Club activities.
How do I find out about the Bylaws?
The bylaws are the guidelines by which all MOMS Club groups operate. Copies of the by-laws are available; contact
any board member.
May I solicit home business products or services at meetings or activities?
MOMS Club understands that at-home mothers often sell products or services from home for various reasons;
however, we kindly ask that no solicitation of any kind takes place at MOMS Club sponsored activities.
May I advertise my home business in the newsletter?
Yes. You may purchase ad space for as little as $2.00 if a member. For ad pricing please contact the newsletter
editor. Submit your payment along with the information to the newsletter by the 15th of the month before you would
like the ad to appear.
What is the MOMS Club roster for?
The roster is strictly for use of MOMS Club. No mass mailings, solicitation of goods and services, or promotion of
religious or political groups are permitted. Please enjoy the roster to get together with friends on the days when no
MOMS Club activities are planned.
